WISSIT 2016 – back for more!

I am honored to have been asked back to the Washington International School’s Summer Institute for Teachers (WISSIT) to share Weigh Your Words with teachers from all over the DC area. This year, 225 participants from public, private, charter, and parochial schools are here raring to go as they learn about cultures of thinking and educating for global competence.

Learning groups are coming by the installation to play with the words and talk about identity and vocabulary. I am thrilled to be talking to some participants about bringing the project to their schools for work with students, teachers, and families about diversity, community, and empathy.
